According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, police were called to the University Hospital emergency room on Jan. 23, to interview a woman linked to the possible sexual assault that allegedly involved Salazar at the Cleveland Hustler Club.

“Detectives presented the case involving rape allegations with the suspect being Danny Salazar to the city prosecutor’s office today and no charges were issued against Mr. Salazar,” Cleveland police said in a statement Wednesday.

Indians catcher Roberto Perez was also investigated, but no charges were filed against him either.

Salazar was 6-8 for the Indians last season with a 4.25 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 110 innings pitched. He will be competing for a spot in the Indians rotation this season.
