Incredible Coin Toss Photo From Osu Oregon Is Just A Nike Promo

It’s not from the National Championship.

Taking a look at the photo versus the actual coin toss, it’s easy to see the discrepancies. 

First, none of the players were looking up at the coin toss in real time. The numbers are different and the helmet visors are different. And, of course, current players can’t be used in promotional ads like that.

Still, apparently the photo is real given the right context. A photographer did snap that photo and it’s not a fake. 

Too bad it’s just not from the actual game.
