IHOP Cereal Pancakes
IHOP is serving three varieties of cereal pancakes, which are Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cap’n Crunch, and Lucky Charms flavors. The pancakes will include whipped topping and flavors that reflect the cereal, as well as being topped with the cereal itself.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Pancakes: Two buttermilk pancakes topped with cinnamon spread, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, cream cheese icing, whipped topping, and cinnamon sugar. Cap’n Crunch Pancakes: Two buttermilk pancakes topped with cereal milk mousse, blue vanilla sparkle sauce, Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries cereal and whipped topping. Fruity Lucky Charms Pancakes: Two buttermilk pancakes topped with cereal milk mousse, vanilla sauce, Fruity Lucky Charms cereal, and sweet purple whipped icing.
Brad Haley, Chief Marketing Officer at IHOP, said in a statement: “One of the main things [our guests] told us was that [the pancakes] made them feel nostalgic for those Saturday mornings watching cartoons and eating cereal when they were kids.”
“So, while some may see our new Cereal Pancakes menu as the antidote to the ‘adulting’ phenomenon that many grown-ups complain of today, we see them simply as the delicious combination of two of America’s favorite breakfast foods that we didn’t know we needed.”
IHOP Cereal Milkshakes
The cereal-infused milkshakes are made up of vanilla ice cream and topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Cap’n Crunch cereal.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milkshake: Vanilla ice cream blended with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, whipped topping, topped with cereal and cinnamon sugar. Cap’n Crunch Milkshake: Vanilla ice cream blended with Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries cereal, drizzled with blue vanilla sparkle sauce, whipped topping and topped with cereal.
Kristin Kroepfl, vice president and chief marketing officer at Quaker Foods North America, said in a statement: “Cap’n Crunch is all about bringing adventure to the table, and we’re thrilled to embark on this new voyage with IHOP, another breakfast icon.
“We can’t wait for people to experience the Crunch they know and love through this creative and flavorful breakfast journey that helps remind people of the simple, delicious joys of Saturday mornings.”
IHOP Breakfast Combos
As well as sweet treats like pancakes and milkshakes, IHOP has even fused cereal with breakfast items including, egg, bacon, and sausage.
Berry-tastic Crunch Kids Combo: A buttermilk pancake topped with blue vanilla sparkle sauce, crunchy berry cereal and whipped topping with a scrambled egg, a bacon strip, and a pork sausage link. Magical Marshmallow Kids Combo: A buttermilk pancake topped with vanilla sauce, marshmallow cereal and purple buttercream whipped topping with a scrambled egg, a bacon strip, and a pork sausage link.
The cereal-inspired menu items will be available at IHOP restaurants nationwide from March 2 through April 12. Additionally, though prices will vary by location, also from now through April 12, kids 12 and under can eat free with the purchase of one adult entrée from 4-10 p.m.
