Grammy-award winning band Weezer will lead off on Day 1 of the draft, playing classic cuts as well as tracks from their most recent project, SZNZ, released in March.
“America’s Got Talent” winner Mat Franco will also take the Draft Theater stage Thursday, as will famed magician Criss Angel.
Ice Cube will take the reins in Day 2. The rap icon — and die-hard Raiders fan — is currently in the midst of a nationwide tour and recently performed at NASCAR’s Busch Light Clash in February.
The first two days of draft theater performances seem to be rooted in nostalgia. Day 3, in contrast, should appease younger fans (at least somewhat). Famed EDM artist Marshmello will take the stage on Day 3, rounding out the draft festivities. The Philadelphia-based artist has a gaggle of popular tracks in his collection, most notably “Happier” and “Silence”, two songs that have combined to earn over 3 billion streams.
The NFL will also have a “red carpet stage”, which will host some notable performers that will stick out to those who have been on the Strip in years past. Jabbawockeez and Blue Man Group are among those scheduled to perform over the course of the weekend. There will also be a rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by local group Las Vegas Academy Singers.
Performances will be live-streamed on NFL.com and across the league’s social media platforms, with portions set to be televised by ESPN and NFL Network.
