Palmer and Zalewski, who have been married since May 2014, got into an argument at their Los Angeles home on June 11 over a phone call Zalewski overheard between Palmer and a casting agent.
The Los Angeles Police Department said a struggle for the phone led Zalewski to throw Palmer into the bed post, according to TMZ Sports.
“Brittney told cops Zalewski yelled, ‘Pack your f—ing bags and go!’ – but wouldn’t let her leave. She says he threw her down again – pinning her face down on a mattress, with his knee in her back. She says she struggled to breathe for 2 minutes while he held her down.”
“And there’s this – Brittney says during the fight Zalewski scratched his own arms and yelled ‘Why are you making me do this? I just wanted you to love me.’”
Police arrived around 1:25 a.m. on June 12, according to the report, at which time they arrested Zalewski on charges of attempted murder, spousal battery and criminal threats.
He was released the next day on a bail of $1 million.
