Mopping the floor with clean water removes any residue that might be left behind by your cleaning solution. Residue left behind could dull your floor’s shine.
Be careful not to step on any area where you have applied wax. If you do, make sure to mop evenly over the area again.
When applying the second coat, it is a good idea to apply the wax in a different direction. For example, if you applied the first coat in horizontal lines, apply the second coat in vertical or diagonal lines.
