Tony Basgallop and M. Night Shyamalan collaborate on the psychological horror series which has been given a definitive ending point by Apple. Fortunately for Servant fans there are plenty more twists and turns to come before the story wraps up.
There’s more to look forward to in Season 3 of Servant with returning cast members picking up the story after the explosive events from the Season 2 finale.
What Happens in Season 3 of ‘Servant’?
Servant launched in November 2019 on Apple TV+ as a psychological horror movie, following a grieving Philadelphia couple who’d just lost a child. To cope with the loss, they temporarily take care of a doll in place of their baby, but things are complicated further when they hire a young nanny to look after the doll “Jericho.”
Season 3 begins three months after the events of the Season 2 Episode 10, which ended with a mysterious death. In the new season, Episode 1 “Donkey” shows viewers that the Turners are getting back to normal caring for Jericho, Julian has a new girlfriend and Leanne has moved back to Brownstone. Unfortunately, the peace doesn’t last long as the Turners must deal with the cost of their child’s return.
When Is ‘Servant’ Season 3 Available?
As with the first two seasons of Servant, new episodes of Season 3 will drop weekly.
Episode 1 of Season 3 will become available to watch on Apple TV+ on Friday January 21. Episode 2 (“Hive”) will be available on January 28, Episode 3 (“Hair”) will launch on February 4, and so on.
Season 3 of Servant will also comprise of 10 episodes in total, just like the previous two.
‘Servant’ Season 3 Cast
The core cast members are returning for Season 3 of Servant. Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) and Toby Kebbell (Black Mirror) are back as Dorothy and Sean Turner, respectively. Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) is back as Dorothy’s brother Julian, and Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones) is back as the mysterious nanny Leanne Grayson.
News of new cast members has been kept relatively quiet, but GLOW star Sunita Mani joins Season 3 as Julian’s new girlfriend.
Shyamalan resumes his work on the series as an executive producer and occasional director. He is credited as the director for the first episode of Season 3 while Servant creator Basgallop wrote the episode.
Season 4 of ‘Servant’ Confirmed
Ahead of the launch of Season 3, Apple confirmed that it had already renewed Servant for a fourth and final season.
With that in mind, we can expect another cliffhanger of an ending to Season 3, setting up the final season.
No release date for Season 4 has been confirmed but it is likely to drop on Apple TV+ in late 2022 or early 2023.
