Pence’s remarks will come as part of the third day of the Republican National Convention, parts of which are being held virtually due to continuing threats posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Party delegates across the country officially nominated President Donald Trump and Pence for reelection on Monday morning. Trump is expected to formally accept the party’s presidential nomination during a speech he will deliver at the White House on Thursday.

The four-day convention hosts party events throughout the day, but most of the high-profile speeches happen in the evenings. Wednesday’s public remarks are expected to begin around 8:30 p.m. ET and will continue until about 11 p.m. ET.

Wednesday’s convention theme is “Land of Heroes,” according to Trump’s campaign. The theme—which follows Monday’s “Land of Promise” and Tuesday’s “Land of Opportunity”—is intended to “honor our nation’s heroes and their contributions to writing our great American story,” according to a campaign press release.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who previously worked as a press secretary for Trump’s campaign, is expected to deliver public remarks at the convention on Wednesday. Kellyanne Conway, who has been a counselor to Trump and earlier this week announced she will soon step away from her role within the administration, is expected to speak, as well.

A member of Trump’s extended family—Lara Trump, who is married to his son Eric—and Pence’s wife, Second Lady Karen Pence, were included on the campaign’s list of Wednesday speakers.

Wednesday’s list also includes Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, Iowa Senator Joni Ernst, Texas Representative Dan Crenshaw, New York Representative Elise Stefanik, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, former Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, former adviser to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign Keith Kellogg, Scott Dane, Tera Myers, Sister Deirdre Byrne, Lou Holtz, Michael McHale, Madison Cawthorn, Chen Guangcheng, Burgess Owens, Sam Vigil and Clarence Henderson.

Pence will deliver the final speech of the evening, according to Trump’s campaign.

Several news networks will also cover the convention. MSNBC will begin its convention coverage at 7 p.m. ET and both CNN and PBS will start theirs at 8 p.m. ET. C-SPAN is expected to stream the convention speeches starting at 8:30 p.m., and four other networks—ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News—are scheduled to start covering the convention at 10 p.m. ET.
