Julia is expected to make landfall on the east coast of Nicaragua in Central America overnight Saturday. The storm is projected to weaken into a tropical storm on Sunday as it treks across Nicaragua before entering the Pacific Ocean through El Salvador and Honduras. The winds of Julia reached 75 mph on Saturday, which made it a Category 1 hurricane. The hurricane center warns that Julia could produce life-threatening flash floods and mudslides in Central America and southern Mexico from heavy rains and winds that are higher than normal....

Two nieces of the woman, whom they referred to as Aunt Loretta, told NBC 4 Los Angeles that their uncle has been denied testing by doctors. The woman, her husband and two other adults went on a recent trip to the Philippines, and she was admitted to the hospital March 9, soon after the travelers returned to the United States. The nieces said their aunt died “six hours within getting in the hospital” on March 10....

Russell Norman Marsh of Shotton, Wales, in the U.K, killed his ex-wife Jade Marsh, also known as Jade Ward, in August 2021 and was sentenced on Tuesday at Mold Crown Court, according to a North Wales police statement. Russell Marsh is expected to serve a minimum of 25 years in prison before he is eligible for parole. The court was told that Russell Marsh attacked Jade Marsh with a knife and disfigured her face before choking her death, according to a Yahoo report....
