No. That’s simply not what this time of life is like for me, nor for my friends....
Why is my experience different? I’m a Black farmer in an industry with a deep history of discrimination. Over the years, I’ve spoken with a number of white farmers who wanted to understand how our experiences differed. Farming is a hard industry for everyone, so why was it any harder for me? I explained to them that it has nothing to do with the farming itself. Cows, chickens and pigs don’t discriminate....

Baylor announced last Thursday that it had sanctioned McCaw and placed him on probation because of growing concern over the rape culture at Baylor after the sexual and domestic violence convictions of two former Baylor football players. “After much reflection and prayer, I have decided that a change in athletics department leadership is in Baylor University’s best interest in order to promote the unity, healing and restoration that must occur in order to move forward,” McCaw said in a statement released by the school....

Scott Rhodes, a 51-year-old Idaho native living in Montana, placed calls to phones in at least eight states after pre-recording vitriolic messages. The alleged Nazi sympathizer and white supremacist targeted Black and Jewish politicians, a journalist and members of an Iowa community grieving a murder. He also attempted to influence the jury in a murder case against a white supremacist in Charlottesville, Virginia. Rhodes made 4,959 unlawful spoofed robocalls between May and December 2018, the FCC determined in a finding issued on January 14 and seen by Newsweek....
