Tensions have remained high between China and India for years as the two superpowers skirmish over border disputes. The ruling suspended an earlier contempt notice issued to the government by the New Delhi High Court against officials who defied an order to supply enough oxygen to more than 40 overwhelmed hospitals. More than 1,000 workers across the dozens of facilities with Indiana University Health (IU Health) were suspended after missing the deadline, local media outlets reported. “Yesterday IU Health estimated 97% of its employees were in compliance” with the vaccine mandate, IU Health public relations consultant Jeff Swiatek said in a Thursday email to Newsweek. Holt and his passengers told police that they had dropped off Davis, a 19-year-old sophomore, at the Memorial Stadium parking lot about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Bloomington Police Sgt. Jeffery Canada said. Holt was driving away “when, for unknown reasons, Mr. Davis came into the roadway and struck the side of the vehicle near the front passenger windshield,” Canada said.
