I M Counting Every Penny

At most colleges, there’s a lot of focus on diversity. As a native of Nigeria, I’m obviously different from my classmates. But the biggest difference hasn’t been nationality—it’s been money. Dormmates have teased me about being the only person alive without a flat-panel LCD computer monitor. While classmates watch football games from the student section, I work as a parking attendant. I worry about my grades just as much as they do—but I also worry about unexpected dental bills or finding $200 for the medical-school admissions test....

I Tried To Give Up Plastic For A Month And It Was Harder Than I Thought

Perhaps that is why the human race appears so determined to leave behind so much plastic. After all, plastic can take anywhere from 500 to 1,000 years to degrade. As a result, nearly every piece of plastic ever made still exists in some form with the exception of the small share that has been incinerated out of existence. I could run further with this theory, but, of course, I know that it is fundamentally flawed....

Ibrahimovic S Vicious Elbow To Cost Manchester United And Swedish Striker Dear

If Beau Bennett Is Out Penguins Should Look At Kasperi Kapanen

The Penguins winger, who started training camp as the leading candidate to fill one theoretically open wing-man role for Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin, caught his leg in a rut on Friday morning during a 3-on-3 neutral-zone drill, went down, and needed help off the ice. Maybe not, coach Mike Johnston said. “When he was skating across the ice, (Kasperi) Kapanen’s skate clipped him on the back of the heel and so he spun around in an awkward manner,” Johnston said after practice....
